Cartes

Les cartes à jouer font souvent partie des jeux de société (et bien sûr elles sont l'élément principal des jeux de cartes). Les cartes peuvent être utilisées de différentes manières, c'est-à-dire comme un élément d'action, comme marqueur, comme argent ou marchandises, comme des cartes d'aide, etc.

Ici, la production nécessite des machines modernes et spéciales de haute qualité. Pour pouvoir protéger leur surface, les cartes reçoivent une finition spéciale : un vernis spécial respectant l'environnement qui va protéger les couleurs de l'abrasion, qui renforce la brillance, qui améliore le glissement des cartes et qui ne retient pas la poussière et qui enfin est résistant à l'eau.

Les bases

Les tailles : Les cartes peuvent être produites dans n'importe quelle taille, cependant les tailles suivantes s'avèrent être les plus performantes :

• Skat: 59x92mm
• Poker: 63x88mm
• Bridge: 58x88mm
• Petite carte: 46x66mm
• Carré: 60x60 mm / 70x70mm

Structure : Nous faisons la différence entre le carton simple et le carton pour les cartes à jouer. Les cartes fabriquées avec du carton pour cartes à jouer ont une construction de haute qualité en double épaisseur de papier, collées par une couche opaque adhésive et un cœur en graphite pour que personne ne puisse voir au travers. C'est la solution idéale pour les joueurs de cartes professionnels. Les cartes faîtes à partir de carton simple n'ont pas ce cœur en graphite.

Grammage : Il y a différents poids et indicateurs pour les cartes à jouer. L'unité est exprimée en g/qm. Les valeurs habituelles sont :

Carton simple (« junior »)

Print: Monochromatic or polychromatic (4- colours) printing is possible, one-sided or two-sided, leading to the following options

• 4/4 - two-sided coloured printing

• 4/0 - one side 4-coloured, one side blank
  
• 1/1 - two-sided 1-coloured
  
• 1/0 - one side 1-coloured, one side blank
  

• non-bleeded design (with colored rim); graphics here must have a 3 mm rim.
• bleeded design (without rim); cards production here is more expensive, due to a special machine setting. A standard card game (33 cards) increases in price by approx 0.15 EUR / deck.

Blank material

For small editions and prototypes an economic production often is impossible. Most expensive here are the preproduction costs (set-up and changeover costs for machines).

In our Shop you will find blank cards in different sizes and colours, that can be used for those purposes. The cards are produced professionally and are writable with special overhead markes and printable with special printers (e.g. Canon MX Serie, photo-printer).

In addition to that, we offer blank cards glued to DIN-A4 paper - A in both standard card sizes. Cards here are pre-cut and can be printed in PC-printers, 2-sided white, 200 gr/m².

Another sort of blank cards glued to DIN-A4 paper - B in both standard card sizes. The front side can be printed by every PC-printer, the back side is laminated and can only be printed by a laser printer. No one can see through the cards.

A third type of cards is on a DIN-A4 sheet and has a micro-perforation. The cards can be printed in all PC printers. After printing, cards can be pressed out and then have a slightly visible "nose" along the edges (from the micro-perforation).

Intersections to full-size print as well as templates for "Word" are available.

Customized Production

We will support you with your customized production of playing cards according to your specifications. There are two possibilities: a) professional production (>500 card games) and hand-crafted production for smaller editions.

Use of standards / hand-crafted production, small editions

With regard to the high costs of a professional production, we have defined standards, with which we could produce smaller quantities for you in an economically acceptable way. Prices can be found in our Shop.

Such a customized card production is possible from a minimum quantity of 18 games with > 10 cards. In this standard section, we produce cards on a 246/qm cardboard (linen paper), 4/4-c, rounded edges. The following sizes are available:

• 59 x 91 mm (Skat)
• 46 x 66 mm (Settlers)
• 60 x 60 mm (Memo)

Attention: Please keep a 2-mm rim, which means that, the necessary sizes for 59 x 92 then would be 63 x 96 mm. We recommend to place important elements or text with a minimum distance of 5 mm from card edge (7 mm from file edge). Avoid using frames.

Free Production

A completely free customized production is possible from a minimum quantity of 500 card games. Costs/piece will decrease with increasing volumes, meaning that small editions are relatively expensive.

• Data: Graphical data must be supplied as PDF or in formats of current graphic programs such as "Corel Draw", "Photoshop" or "Illustrator". The client will receive a PDF-proof for approval.
• Delivery: cards from professional production are delivered in cellophane, hand-crafted cards (small editions) are delivered without cellophane wrapping.
